Local men on the Western Front

We are getting ready for our Mount-Millthorpe battlefields tour in a few weeks time by finding out more about local men who died and are remembered on the Menin Gate and on the Thiepval memorial.  We are really grateful to the Clements Hall History Group for all their help with this.  (See Clements Hall World War One project).  Quite a lot of the houses the men lived in are still in our local streets today.  ‘wonder what they would have thought to Bishy Road now?  Attached are a few examples of the men we are going to be finding on these memorials to the missing.  Menin Gate Hopkins  Thiepval memorial local men
