Young Yorkie historians can go quite made this weekend. It’s the weekend when all York’s museums and attractions open for residents for free. Smaller places that are not usually open are also being shown to locals. There’s so much to choose from, do have a good look at the programme. In preparation for our Medieval Merriment in the summer, you could go and explore parts of York Walls that are usually closed. Why not try Fishergate Postern tower, the Red Tower, or the incredibly named Bitchdaughter Tower? Wherever you go, learn more by linking it to the history you do in class and enjoy the amazing riches of our fabulous historic city. Enjoy!
