It’s been snowing in Berlin!

It’s a very British post that starts with the weather report, but well, there it is!  We started out day today with a tour of the Bundestag; learning about the building, its history, the workings of German politics and admiring the confident internationalism, open government and building on a difficult past that it represents.  Next a very important place for A level historians, the well presented Willy Brandt Forum, and lots of learning about this key figure in Berlin, German, European and world politics.  Even the geographers could make a connection with the Brandt line.  It was cold and snowy as we rejoined our PMG friends to tramp out to Hohenschönhausen Stasi prison for a very informative tour around a very bleak place.  Tonight we are all in the hostel together, have been out to the Christmas market and are enjoying each others’ company.  Some photos of our day below:
