Following a really interesting visit to The Mount School archives last week, we now have a new blog page. Thanks to Sarah Shiels, most erudite history Mountie, for organising this. On the new ‘From the Archives’ page you will find some really interesting things about The Mount during the First World War years. Extracts from the annual reports, the girls’ yearbooks and various letters give a sense of what school was like during those years. This will be useful for our forthcoming ‘Poppies and Pacifism’ Creative Arts Festival next term. You will also find an example of one girl’s reading career during her time at The Mount and information about the library in 1885. Do have a look!
