“Power, priests and princes” – a new KS3 resource

York PGCE history trainees 2012-13 have worked with staff from York Minster and English Heritage to produce this resource: POWER, PRIESTS AND PRINCES:INVESTIGATING CHURCH AND STATE POWER (1066 – 1649). Useful for the new Key Stage 3 curriculum and the need for students to study over arcs of time. Also lovely local history for people lucky enough to live close to York. Students study a feature of the buildings, learn the story behind it and then the big historical theme. Year 7 will be Investigating York using it soon.
