Shakespeare’s ‘Richard II’ coming to a cinema near you!

Shakespeare’s Richard II is a fantastic window onto the Tudor world of politics, as well as an interpretation of the 12 year old King at the time of the Peasant’s Revolt later deposed and murdered. Still used in German schools as an interpretation of the English mentality (“this sceptr’d isle…” etc), it’s on at City Screen York in November.
